Legend has it "kubbspel" which means "throwing-block-game" was invented by children collecting firewood. Vikings adopted the medieval sport over 1000 years ago on a Baltic Island southeast of Sweden called Gotland where the tradition of "kubbspel" lives on today through international tournaments. Millions wood-kubb worldwide, but AMERICOOB, crafted out of strong plastic lumber, takes the global phenomenon to an exciting new level. Our patented version is slightly smaller with three less pieces to: 1) speed up play 2) make it easier to carry, and 3) cost less to buy. We also introduced game pieces in patriotic colors, added a cool king sticker, included a free duffel bag, and made sure batons would easily slide through coobs and king. Our smooth, waterproof, splinter-free material (same stuff they make decks and benches out of) and drilled design has revolutionized shipping, storing, and playing possibilities for the next generation of coobers.
